Why is this a “Misfit”?
Oh how badly I want everyone to experience the joys of the brooch!
This piece doesn’t qualify as “perfect” - the brooch mechanism doesn’t spring up as it should.
It is customary to use steel for brooch mechanisms because they have more resistance than silver. I insist on using only precious metals in my work so sometimes I run into problems…
Mechanism here is sturdy and perfectly secures onto knits. When its on ITS ON! It simply doesn’t spring up. Minor issue, big discount!
Wire is 1.2mm thick - suitable for wear with knits/crocheted pieces. Not recommended for delicate fabrics such as silks or polyesters.

Materials : Solid sterling silver, lab rubies, grape agate, baroque pearl
Construction specifications : Sculpted in wax, cast in sterling silver. Soldered and proded with love. Stones set in unique prongs. Oxidized and brushed finish.
CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRY
Sterling silver is a precious metal, and should be treated as such.
When you are not wearing your jewelry for an extended period of time, it is best to keep it in an airtight space (like a small ziploc bag). This may not look glamorous in your jewelry box, but it is the best way to prevent your silver from tarnishing.
All orders include a complimentary polishing cloth which can be used to keep your jewelry looking its best.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
All jewelry sold by Minuit is crafted using traditional silversmithing techniques. Quality of construction is important to us, and you can expect your Minuit jewelry to endure many moon cycles!
Should your piece break, crack, twist, or turn, please contact us! We can either guide you through a minor repair (like straightening out an ear post) or discuss return options.
